Dark brown color, small tan head that had a short life .The aroma was roasty malt with a hint of hops and maybe a little chocolate and coffee. Taste is chocolate and mabye smokey malts. Not a lot there for a stout, more like stout light. SledgeJr (3003), Omaha, Nebraska, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Aug 29, 2006 On tap at Buffalo Wild Wings. Pours a synthetic pyrolized black with a whispy white head of no renown. White head on a stout? Frankenbier? Subtle roasted malt aroma, but don’t expect the taste to support it. Thin and watery without the malt sugar original gravity to support even the lowly stout profile. Oh, the horror... biggmike (480), Hattiesburg, Mississippi, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Aug 29, 2006 Updated: Aug 14, 2007Have to admit I was a bit prejudiced against this beer because its made by Anheuser-Busch. They obviously were trying to make a Guinness clone but this comes up way short in the taste department. Faint smell that I believe was coffee and roasted malts. Looked like a stout, but disappointing. framebender (56), Boulder, Colorado, USA
| 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 5/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 5/20 | Aug 27, 2006 Looks tasty with nice thick creamy head. Does the Guinness thing with the rolling head until it settles. Absolutely empty beer. Nothing there taste wise and left me amazed how you can create a beer that looks so dark and tasty but has no flavor. Would never buy this. Had at brewery in Fort Collins, Colorado. billk (300), Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, USA

Flavor is thin dark roast malt with a touch of hops. Very, very thin. On the upper edge of light bodied. I’d drink lots of this if it was free though. jefcon (1009), Arlington, Virginia, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Aug 12, 2006 Dark, but lacking the creamy head of a Guinness pour. Lighter all around, especially for a stout. Some nutty notes, very drinkable, but lacking in weight and substance. Kevin (1920), Colorado, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Aug 9, 2006 tap after the AB tour. weird pour, a see through black body that had a white cascading nitro head. the whitest head i’ve ever seen on a stout. aroma was guinness like- a touch of black patent and chocolate. taste was watery thin and with a metallic note of chocolate. an astringent grain taste emerged late in this. a one dimensional stout. just a light chocolate flavor. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Aug 7, 2006 Draught. Pours dark brown / black with a creamy nitrogen head. Aroma is roasty and a bit sweet; basically like a slightly sweeter Guinness. Flavor is similar---less bitter and sweeter than Guinness. On the whole a bit more watery; basically a passable imitation of Guinness.
