Soft, lightly nutty, almondy and caramelly nose. Mellow toasted malts and a most welcome warming character are quite coherent together. Though it has a light sweet kiss towards the end, it remains dry enough all through and is a promising first try from this brewer that deserves more distribution. 50cl bottle thanks to Chris and Ruth. Lovely, slightly hazy golden brown colour with a thin but tenacious white film. Complex aroma of bubblegum, pineapple, ginger cake and slight notes of alcohol but not at all harsh and some light fruity notes. Slight metallic note lets it down a little but its still jolly good. Lovely alcohol hits first once in the mouth giving it a rather distinct but not at all over powering vodka taste. Thankfully it is backed up by some really nice fruit and spice and a really pleasant hit of hops at the finish. Once the hops have vanish the vodka notes reappear and last for quite some time. It almost burns but stops just short. Rather tasty it is. Nice chewy mouthfeel too. Really enjoyed this for lots of reasons. The beer was good, the label was hung around the neck of the bottle on some string, Fuggles ale at 8.4 abv??? and finally for the website. Check it out, Barearts also see pictures of nekkid folks!
