Bottle Conditioned, Occasional;
A rich dark stout reminiscent of those sent to the Russian Imperial Court in the 19th century. Brewed with Black, Chocolate, and Maris Otter barley malts, Oat malt and Wheat matl. Hopped with English Goldwings.

Clear dark black color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy malty, roasted, burnt, chocolate, oat, wheat notes, peat smoke notes, notes of licorice. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (140508)
