Pours a deep transparent mahogany with a quickly dissipating white head. Nose is smoky with a fruity smell...grapes. Start is a nice roasty flavor with a hint of grapes in the middle. Very smooth finish. Perfect balance. Great beer! Had this on tap at the brewery in Fredonia, NY on 12/04/03
