Aug 19, 2004 The beers seem to vary a bit at this brewery. In particular, three weeks ago the pale ale was uninspired and lackluster. A new batch just came on line a week or so ago and it is much improved. Golden amber beer with a nice, persistent head. Grapefruit arome is nice, but does not follow through in taste. Good hop bitterness, but misses the citrus. Decent roasty grain undertone. I’ve filled my growler a time or two with this one. Not my favorite pale ale of all time, but a good one.

Aug 19, 2007 On tap at the brewpub on 4/9/07: Pours a transparent orange bronze with a thin, spotty-lacing white head. Aroma of slightly sweet pale malt with nice balance of citrusy piny hops. Body starts fairly full and semi-sweet with a decent fresh piny hop balance toward a crisp bittersweet finish. A pretty good APA.

Feb 20, 2007 Draft at the brewpub. This glass came with a crystal clear yellow-tinged bronze with a thin but solid foam head. The aroma is an excellent one of citrus-flowers, sucking me right into the quaff. Then a creamy mouthfeel and a nice light hoppiness presenting itself as citrusy and slightly metallic. Pretty good American pale. (#2712, 2/18/2007)

Nov 5, 2006 On tap at the brewpub, July 2006. Gingery gold colour. Fairly restrained aroma. More hoppy character in the flavour, dominated by grapefruit. Keen, sharp finish. Quite liked this one.

May 31, 2008 Draft sample at brewpub. Pours light yellow with slight copper hues. Small white head, decent lacing for a draft sample. Nose is malt with slight hops. Taste is toffee and slight caramel with a good hop flavor and mild to moderate bitter. Very solid and quaffiable.
