Aug 13, 2008 This is an alright porter. It has some very drinkable qualities. Lots of chocolate and espresso roastiness, sour milk chocolate bitterness on the palate turned me off, it would be a lot better without that sour bitterness in the finish.

Mar 18, 2006 This was a decent porter. Tastes like chocolate cake, rich and moist on the palate. Roasty, with some nice coffee flavors. Enjoyable.

May 2, 2004 Dark tan, black. Tan head & lacing. The aroma is mild after the turmoil with some light mocha roast. The flavor is strong with coffee beans & some milk chocolate finish. Creamy, dry & well rounded. Good porter with more dark malts (black patent?) than most.

Oct 16, 2002 This beer has an aroma like shoe leather and a flavor to match. Disappointing porter. No roastiness just that damn leather flavor. Blah!
