On draught at the brewery: Poured a clear copper colour with not a whole lot of fizz. thin off white head. aroma is somewhere between maple syrup and butterscotch. Sweet smell, but taste comes across a little dull. Nice taste, but a little boring.

Pours brown with a tan head. Smells of sweet malt and earthy. Taste is much of the same with some spicy hints. Good for what it is.

12oz. Bottle: Fain, slightly tart aroma of malts, tart fruit, cherries, and medicine. Poured deep amber/copper in color with a medium-sized tan head that diminished but lasted throughout. Cloudy. Sparkling to very sparkling. Many tiny, small, and medium-sized particles throughout. Flavor is lightly tart and slightly sweet. Tastes of tart fruit, cherries, malts, malted milk, and some cocoa. Medium body. Thin, lightly dry texture. Average carbonation. Tart, cherry, malt, and malted milk finish. Much more a sour than a brown ale.

Tea brown, with a fizzy and short lived head. A little trimming of lace left behind. Sweet maltiness, a nice toasting, a slight nuttiness that makes for a pleasant aroma Taste is unfortunately not as pleasant. Quite a watered down maltiness - mouthfeel is rather watery, as well. Slight roasted nut flavour, but almost ignorable, really. If it were a little richer, it would be a decent session brew. If looking for a swigger, it could be a candidate, but there are better out there.

Pours out amber in color with no real head. Aroma is of some malts, slight bitterness and some caramel. Taste is some caramel, sweet malts and hops, mouthfeel is a bit watery. Overall alright, but forgettable.

Once again, Barley Creek fails to impress. Their beers are way to safe. They seem to say, yeah we want to make craft brews, but are really afraid they might not be well received. The aroma was present but not amazing, w/ some malt scent. Appearance was a brown color, thin head. It’s flavor is a bit to watered down, it doesn’t make me beg for more. It’s smooth. Again a very forgetable beer. I was hoping for more

Clear brown color with a white head. Has a nutty aroma and a mildly roasted nutty taste. Its a bit watery, but overall not that bad.
