Prostman (1076), Pennsylvania, USA Sep 3, 2007 Got a growler of this and it was pretty good. I think I would rather drink this by the pint as the few glasses I got out of the growler were a little much for a session. Phatz (225), Paradise, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 2, 2006 I was at the Barley Creek Summerfest today and for me this was the beer of the day. Refreshing and light but with hints of lemon orange and wheat flavors. Very nice.
Appearance: Served a yellow gold color.
Smell: The aroma was a bit reserved when served cold but there were suggestions of wheat and lemon creeping into the nose.
Taste: Pretty straightforward Hefe Wiezen, with wheat at the front of the palate followed but lemon and orange. It finishes crisp clean and refreshing.
Mouthfeel: Very carbonated. It was crisp and smooth through the mouth.
Drinkability: I am not historically a fan of Hefe’s but I may be converted yet. This one is a very drinkable beer.
Hope this is helpful.
Cheers!
