Bottle shared with HogTownHarry, GregClow & tupalev -- courtesy of GregClow. Pours a cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma of...man, I don’t care for this at all, there’s something awful in there...what is this? The flavour...holy shit this is awful! Obviously this is infected. Total crap.

Bottle shared with blankboy, HogTownHarry & tupalev - courtesy me, from DerWeg. Not much I can say here that HHH and tupalev haven’t already said below. This was absolutely putrid, like vinegar being served out of a dead dog’s ass. Whoever is running the show at Glenora Springs should be embarassed that a bottle purchased at the brewery would end up in this state just a couple of weeks later. Cripes!

Shared with blankboy, GregClow and blankboy - courtesy of GregClow, from derweg. Dark yellow, light small white head. Off aroma - harsh grain. Off taste - infected, pungent, awful. Avoid at all costs. I do not usually rate infected beers, but this brewery is adding nothing to the Ontario scene - if it has reopened, why are the beers still infected like the last owners? What is the point? If you can’t make and bottle your beer (and this was from the brewery itself) what the hell are you doing wasting our time and money?

Bottle (750ml). Shared with blankboy, GregClow and tupalev - courtesy of GregClow, from derweg. God this is crap. Infected crap. Poured hazy gold with a small white head. Downhill from here. Nasty infected aroma, sulfur, spoiled wine, smelled exactly like the aftermath of a housefire. Taste - hard to believe, but even worse than the aroma - greasy charcoal, used bandaids, rotten orange peels - I felt I was being punished, why else would I drink this swill? Mouthfeel is harsh and friggin’ horrible - overall bad, bad, bad - strong cheese couldn’t even get the taste out of my mouth. Avoid at all costs.

Harsh and astringent, a difficult beer from sip to swallow. I taste no floral pilsener hops. Borderline offensive and apparently defective. "Off" is a good word, yes!

(Rating #1)

Slightly muddy dull amber, smallish fast-dying head. Nose is fresh and grainy, not much else. Flavor is slightly vinegary (uh-oh), somewhat sweet, bland, a little coniferous. Finish short, sweet, unmemorable. Yeah, right.

(650ml Bottle) Was visiting the Picton area of Ontario and decided to step into the Glenora Springs Brewery because it's only a 5 minute drive southeast of town. Met with John McKinney and found them to be more fans of brewing than masters; just my opinion. All of their beers seem OFF... either somewhat too tart or plain flavour and finish. I poured the bottle of White Cap once I got home to Ottawa, it came out with virtually no head from a 650ml bottle; which still amazes me? Hyper-carbonated bubble action. The colour is an orange copper, none of the cloudiness noted below. Maybe something got fixed? Fair malt nose. A little hoppy up front in flavour then a quick shift to a mellow malt. Finishes clean. Average lager.
