Courtesy of footbalm. I wonder who’s rated this without Eric’s effort’s. Pours dark brown with no head. Aroma is bourbon, cherries and alcohol. Flavor is the same with some woodsy qualities to it. Some alcohol in finish but not 21% which is a good thing in my book. Thanks again to Eric for another top 50.

Bottled from a growler... Crystal clear, ruby ale with burnt orange highlights. No head, no lacing. Complex, wonderful aroma with notes of vanilla, black cherries, bourbon, brown sugar, wood, dark raisins and alchohol. Seared my nose hairs. The extremely high ABV is well-masked. A huge beer with tons of malt, but almost perfectly balanced by a very liberal hop addition. A bit tangy with plenty of bourbon, vanilla and alcohol. Ultra full-bodied with a mouthfeel of thick mineral oil. Feather-soft carbonation. Lengthy, "red hot", dry finish. Sip this one slowly and please return your seat back and tray table to their upright and locked positions. Thanks go out to footbalm for the 12 oz. bottle!

Hand bottled 12oz from footbalm, thanks man! Pours virtually flat, thin brown ring around the glass. Lightly hazy amber/brown color. Whisky nose, woody, coconut, light malt with a hint of mint. Full bodied, creamy. Sweet malts, whisky is dominant along with dark fruits, raisins, light smokiness and of course alcohol though not as strong as i though it would be. Alcohol heat increases as it warms. Finish is medium sweet, whisky laden with faint notes of vanilla. One large ass beer! I think a few more years of aging might have mellowed this one a bit.

Mahogany with no head or lace really. Sweet, sweet malt aromas with bitter hops and big alcohol. Roast and smoke malts. Spicy alcohol in the flavors with some roast. Bitter and fruity hops with some tobacco and sherry. Thick and sweet, finishing with tobacco and alcohol.

Dark caramel colour. Thick body leaves legs on the glass. Big fat alcohol & malt character. Very chewy and long. The character to me seems quite typical of what happens when you make a giant beer - not really good or bad but standard for the type. There are definitely more stylish monsters out there.

Clear amber, no head. Nose of oak & alcohol. Flavor of booze, exhale and it burns the nose. Pure ethyl alcohol causes the most obscene flavors to come forth if you want it too. This is just not beer anymore.

This beer blasts you at 21%. Tasted more like a hard alcohol than a beer. Bourbon like with some spice, cooking vanilla and some plum and grape. Burns when it goes down especially after multiple sips. The alcohol is simply too strong for my liking.

Where do you start with something this different. Really almost an after dinner drink. Sherry/Port notes on the palate. Just an onslaught of richness and decadence. Unique brew. Definitely tasted some vanilla and the bourbon really mellows the alcohol well. Worth the travel. Great job.
