Taste sampled at the BA Alesmith release thanks to wetherel for sharing. Wow! What a fantastic surprise. My favorite of the day. The aroma wasn’t as nice as I would expect from such a powerful tasting brew.

Huge thanks to grimreeser for this 22oz handbottle. Shared with others at the Alesmith BA release. Popped cap of handbottle, which still had a psst of carbonation. Decent carbonation on the pour, with some small head. Dark amber color. Thick body, Great aroma even after popping the cap. Lots of caramel, figs, brown sugar. Very sweet and thus hid the alcohol well. Super delicious. Curious to try side by side with Angel’s Share, as both are similarly very delicious.

Sampled the end of a 22oz handbottle nicely saved for me by my buddy John (wetherel) at the BA Alesmith Release today. Very pretty pour, sweet taste, sweet nose, and overall a very solid beer. Did not seem like 14% to me. Yum.

Sampled at the Alesmith release thanks to Wetherel. Incredible aroma toffee, caramel. brown sugar, molasses. Flavors much the same, this was delicious, however a little sweet. I think I could olny drink a little of it. Oh, and for the 14% alcohol I couldn’t detect any alcohol.

Smell is very sweet and has hints of bourbon. Taste is very sweet and wine like hiding alcohol quite well. I still got the warmth in the chest from this one. Has fruity flavors and a fairly light body. I think I would again need to share a bottle of this with someone due to the sweetness. I would definitely but this again.

Draft at the brewpub on Barley John’s 8th Anniversary. Drank this one side by side with the Raspberry Rosie’s. It poured a hazy dark orange-brown color. The head was thin and off white. Boozy aroma with molasses, plum, and toffee elements. Sweet, but not nearly as sweet as the Raspberry Rosie’s. Broad shouldered and malty with light acidity and a warming alcohol effect. I tasted sherry, raisin, caramel, and molasses. Very good, but I the alcohol was a bit much for me.
