Sep 19, 2006 Growler ala SoG. Dark golden color with a small lid of off-white bubbles. Pale malt aromas with a touch of floral hops. Pure pale malt flavors with a light rose and hint of white grape. Simple, but that is what it is supposed to be. It is what it is.

Sep 16, 2006 Not something I would ask for again, but a nice change to the huge trippel belgian ales. Its like a trippel, but way toned down. Not bad.

Aug 21, 2006 Pre-GTMW tasting @ 1FastSTi’s place. Slight haze, light amber body with white head. The aroma is clove, candi and herbal. The flavor is herbal, spicey and dry. The mouth is light and lively. Nice.

Aug 18, 2006 On tap at the brewpub. Okay. so not all of John’s brews taste good.I have to admit the yeast here produced some funky fruitiness but this was doomed from the start I think.

Dusty gold, little head.
Grassy sweet belgian spice, dusty wheat.
Light hop, light spice, light sweet estery malt. Light flavor (it is a little cold), but well put together.

Aug 13, 2006 Thanks Joel. The beer pours to a hazy orange/copper body with a thin ring head. The flavor is malty, toasted, yeasty. The aroma is toasty, light yeast, pale malts. Medium body, decent texture.

Aug 12, 2006 From a growler provided by Joel: Hazy golden hue with little lace or head. The aroma is weak with notes of sweet malts, apricot, apple, and earthy malt. The taste is underwhelming with muted malt and fruits. Was not able to find much else but a lingering pepper upon the finish. The feel is smooth but watery. Okay, it is Belgian "single" table beer but that is no reason for it being completely boring.

Straw color small white head slow visible carbonation. Heavy belgian yeast aroma, touches of alcohol some light peppered spice. Palate is well coated and a bit thin. Flavor has an odd lightly sour very dry flavor touches of platic & cardboard. Not very good.
