Barley Johns Double Oat Stout

A very average beer, very smooth with a nice body but lacking flavor and depth.

Dark pour with a light tan head. Had a lightly roasted aroma with light chocolate. Very light body with not a lot of flavor. Smooth but definitely lacking flavor and body.

First off, I only tried a small sample of this beer, so my opinion may be a bit premature. Typical black pour with mild tan head. Nose detects brief chocolate and slight roasted hops. Not as heavy as you’d expect from the name, it’s a little surprising. Taste is somewhat bland and nothing to stand out from the other thousand stouts.
