Slightly brighter bitter bite than expected...well supported by a bready caramel maltiness and spritzy carbonation. Tad thin-bodied but not detracting at all. This was a very good example of an Americanized version of the style. MIBRomeo (1965), Wisconsin, USA

Light aroma touch of toffee and a very light piney aroma. avg pal. Dry piney flavor very light, very plain.. likely very true to the style.. a touch of bitterness in the finish. A full malt flavor as well with a good bittering finish. A tad thin on the palate but a solid drinker. kreepindeth (405), Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, USA

Incredible retention. Odd smelling for a bitter, but I like it. Earthy, woodsy aroma with undercurrents of spent mash and delicately toasted barley. Restrained bitter-sweet flavors of caramel, English-American hybrid hops and boiled grain. Light-bodied and fizzy. Short, crisp, mildly bitter finish. scraff (1955), Baltimore, Maryland, USA

Nose held delicate toasty notes of earth and wood, and just a slight hint of citrus. Well balanced citric earthy bitterness that sits upon a soft woodsy undertone. Light to medium bodied, fizzy carbonation, crisp, soft bitter finish. Sessionable all the way as it is what it is...
