Sample from tap at the brewpub. Pours clear orange with a white head. Aroma of malt, slight toffee and slight bitter hops. Flavour is the same, malty dry beer. I don’t really sense bitterness. A slight bit watery.

RBSG 07- on tap at brewpub. No aroma, no head, watery, indigestion in the finish. Smells like summer camp taste like soap.

No aroma whatsoever, very thin and watery body. Not much going on in this until you get to the finish where it is mildly bitter.

Tap at the brewpub. Nice looking amber with a decent white head. Mild grassy hops on the nose. Not as bitter as I’d like, but at 3.5% I could drink this stuff all day long.

On tap at the barley Johns brewpub. Pours a thin golden orange brew with an average sized off-white, slowly disolving head. Aroma of roasted caramel barley malt and a touch of citrus fruit. Taste is dry bitter, medium bodied, carbonated, and a dry bitter aftertaste. Finish is a little sour and then a lingering bitter aftertaste.

My wife ordered this and i snuck a few sips from her. Not a lot of flavor going on, as far as hops or bitterness. Pretty bland stuff. The new Surly Bitter is a far superior brew to this one.

Golden color with faint white head. Hoppy nose with faint citrus. Refreshing bitter body with a dry, vaguely grainy finish.
