A fantastic beer. Crisp but firm malts with just enough hops to carry things through. The aroma is light caramel and toated malt. An excellent palate, light but satisfying in ever way. It is too bad there are not more beers like this in the US.

draft at the brew pub: amber color with thick foamy head, proper aroma and flavor for a bitter. i felt it was sufficiently bitter and balanced myself, especially for a 3.5% beer. Good for drinking in quantity, definitely.

sampler at pub. A decent session beer. Not really to bitter for being a bitter.

On tap at pub. Nice hoppy aroma and flavor. Slightly surprised by the lack of bitterness.

Tap at brewpub. Honey body with a thick ring of bubbles. Nose-very neutral almost non-existent nose. Taste-big corn flake/cereal, high CO2, medium-high hop bitterness, slightly lactic note. Hop aroma and bitter hangs on for a while. Very solid bitter.

On tap at the brewpub in New Brighton. Fresh lake water aroma. Cloudy, medium orange appearance, good lace with a thick creamy white head - looks very inviting. Brief bitterness, faint caramel notes; not a whole lot else going on. Decent mouthfeel, slight sting to it though.

Cloudy amber body with minimal white head. Aroma is medium sweet, caramel, some herbal. Taste is medium sweet, herbal/earthy, some peach ,light melon, caramel. Light-medium body with low carbonation. MilkmanDan was with me, and assures me it tasted much better the last time he was there -- I wish I got to try that version.
