One mighty fine looking Maibock! Smell is subdued dark fruits of raisin, fig, plum, and a slight sense of toffee. Taste is more of the same but much more improved upon fron the smell as it has a large variety of dark fruits, pale plum and raisin, with a mellow smooth toffeeness rendering it with a candied caramel, slightly sweet and finishes with a slight zip of tangyness. Feel is super silky smooth, light to medium body and goes down very easy, so much so its drinkablitiy is fantastic. Very good stuff. Although I think the ABV might be kinda high cuz this stuff went right to my head. muzzlehatch (4427), Burlington, Vermont, USA

Deep molasses-apple nose, beautiful dark cherry color, huge sweet brown sugar in the initial flavor, sweet herbs...quite thick, with some vanilla and anise towards the end. Too sweet for many I’d expect, but I loved it. badgerben (3605), Blaine, Minnesota, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 20, 2004 Amber color with a little head. Very malt aroma with a boat load of fuit. I found this quite odd, but then the taste cleared that up. More malt but the odd flavor seemed to be lemon and/or orange. Never had a bock like this before, but it was quite tasty. Sweet, but tasty. robertsreality (2460), Minnesota, USA

Taste-light citrus, dry leaf/sake like note, floral hops. Sweetness from the malt is kept well in check. Nicely done. CharlesDarwin (1849), Point Judith, Rhode Island, USA

Flavors are dominated by sugary wheat and some blackberry. This is a Maibock! I love that crisp, clean sweet sugary smack and finish. Nice brew! Nuffield (2724), Roseville, Minnesota, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jun 3, 2004 Deep amber color with creamy head; slow moving bubbles in the body. Mild, grassy aroma, somewhat caramelly in a English sort of way. Notable sweet edge when drank side-by-side with their Barley Bitter. Smooth and relatively clean; I like the sweet edge. Didn’t taste like 7% abv, no way.
