Pours a semi-clear golden pale brew with a thin off-white head that has some good retention and lacing. Aroma of sweetened caramel malt and flowery hop character. Taste is medium bodied, very light carbonation with flavors of biscuit and caramel malt with a touch of sweet candi sugar. Finish is quite malty with some flowery hop character. badgerben (3610), Blaine, Minnesota, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 24, 2004 Dark amber color with no head. An almost fruity aroma, very odd for an Oktoberfest. The taste is again odd: slightly sweet with some hops mixed in. A tad smokey. A very strange mix for an Oktoberfest, but it manages nicely. JK (2967), Richfield, Minnesota, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 24, 2004 Lightly Deep Amber Coloring.....Good White Head. I Found This To Be an Enjoyable and Very Drinkable Oktoberfest Brew. Small Amounts of Spice and Hops...Although I Didn’t
Notice Until Wawood Mentioned it and I Really Concentrated.. Very Low Key Overall...but That in Itself, I would Agree...Can be a Good Thing. BDR (2170), Roseville, Minnesota, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Oct 31, 2007 ABR 2007. Gold color with faint head. Solid roasted malt nose with a little hops. Similar taste and one of the more full bodied Oktoberfests this year. ElGaucho (1730), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Sep 24, 2004 Faint malty Marzen aroma. Smells very similar to other German marzens I’ve had. Beautiful dark amber color with red and yellow hues. Off white, frothy head. Beautiful streaky lace. Avg. sized head, but good retention. Flavor is soft and cask-like. Served a little warmer. Session quality. Faint hops in the finish which are only barely detectable to the trained palate. However, it is a feature that really sets this brew above other O’Fests. Captured the essence of an unpasteurized German cask O’Fest. I would be perfectly happy drinking several masses of this stuff in a Munich Oktoberfest beer tent. tytoanderso (1387), St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA

Pours a nice copper with a small head. Decent lacing. Toasted malt, slightly sweet with some nice grassy hops on the finish. Medium bodied. Good Oktoberfest.
