Very robust and chocolatey. Smooth finish. Coffee notes. Cool malty presence. Distint malt that I haven’t noticed in other porters/stouts. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA

Aroma of huge roasty dark malt, rich chocoff, molasses, almond, some prune. Tastes roasty and richly malty, with a big chocolate syrup element, plus coffee, molasses, ovaltine, and some hops. Pretty dense palate with a lot of complexity. roflyer (5), Minnesota, USA does not count | 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Nov 13, 2009 Strong porter. Pours jet black black with a thick khaki colored head that leaves excellent lacing. Heavy aroma of fresh black earth, roasted coffee and chocolate. Flavor is chock full of chocolate, bitter coffee, fresh topsoil and a back end of licorice and roasted marshmallows. Thick, rich creamy mouthfeel, Best porter I have had in a long time.
