Commercial Description:
We took a stab at a fruit beer and decided to celebrate the more astringent end of the Raspberry - a tart and hoppy Raspberry Ale that is not surrounded by the typical sweetness overkill that can overwhelm most fruit beers. Starting with a hoppy Red Ale base, we introduced the raspberry while it was aging resulting in a somewhat tart and aggressive fruit beer experience.

Red/Orange Color with White Ring. Fresh Raspberry Aroma. Very Light Bodied Beer. Lightly Acidic Raspberry Flavor. Balanced Well Between Sweet and Bitter, Making This A Very Enjoyable Summer Fruit Session Ale. Clean Lightly Dry Aftertaste.

Draft @ BP. Different. Reminds me of a mixture of a sweet raspberry lambic and a good American IPA. Sweet, sour, bitter.

10 oz pour at the brewpub. Light pomegranite aril aroma. Orange ruddy pour, with a rime of rose. Flavor is a real pithy Raspberry seed over light sweet malts and an edge of long grassy dryness. Muddled grains and distant husks combine with the acerbic seeds for a unique beer. However, I’m not sure it’s particularly drinkable or intriguing. Unique however.

Pinkish orange sample. Aroma is of nothing much except malt and papery woody raspberry. Tastes like the flavor of a raspbeery seed stuck in the teeth. Bitter and acidic. Definitely a bit hoppy too. Not a full pint’s worth good but not bad at all. Maybe it’s the same as the raspberry amber, but it isn’t amber. Corrections?
