pepsican (777), the beer wastelands of, Iowa, USA Jul 4, 2008 murky amber pour, thin white head. Caramel malt and cheese aroma. More caramel malt in the flavor, a bit of citrus hops, honey, and butter. Finishes mildly bitter, syrupy. Meh.
ketchepillar (303), Des Moines, Iowa, USA Oct 26, 2008 This beer is straight up, fruit yogurt-strawberry and peach. Really good finish. Pretty good hop bitterness. hillfiiiiire (238), Atoka, Tennessee, USA Oct 26, 2008 This is something quite different for an IPA. Dark copper color with an all right head. Smells like fruit yogurt and delicious. Flavor is peach, citrus, and goodness. Nice, round body. Spectacularly odd and delicious beer. It’s almost a fruit beer that’s hopped pretty well. MatSciGuy (350), St. Paul, Minnesota, USA Aug 7, 2008 [Tap] Poured a hazy sort of copper with a medium beige head. Aroma was pretty fantastic. Lots of floral and citric hops. Unfortunately, the flavor did not stand up. It was way too malty, with tons of caramel, and not nearly enough hop flavor or bitterness. Started off great but ended up pretty disappointing. doubleo (954), San Diego, California, USA Jul 13, 2008 Growler from hellomynameis, thanks! Pours cloudy, burnt orange with a moderate off-white head and good lace. Smells very nice, dark, resiny and earthy hop scents. A bit of dark caramelly hops as well. Tastes dark citrusy, overripe orange flavor, slight alcohol flavor. Nice malt flavors toward the finish and nice lingering bitterness. Full body, good carbonation.
