JorisPPattyn (4514), Antwerpen, Belgium Oct 5, 2008 Average of 2 separate tastings, with some different results. Small, off-white head, over slightly hazy orange-amberish beer. One sample flowery nose, garden herbs, fast gone, leaving a slight spicy aroma; other one cookies, sweet dessert baking and impression of Maillard. Sample 1 soft sweetish-bitterish, with a fruity sourish lining; bitterish mainly due to (noble) hops; faintly spicy. Both toasted, soft-caramelly malts, no honey detectable. Palate drops fast away, certainly in sample 2; sample 1 more spritzy, mineral water quality. Light to medium bodied. Honeysweetness in both cases held in check, but the beer is rather dull, as theres very little "in lieu".
