Commercial Description:

Bottle at chris_o’s "smash kook’s granny tasting". Alround rating: Pale biscuity malt, initially grassy then becomes far more floral with perhaps notes of orange, the honey is well incorporated and its alround very well balanced. Excellent easy drinking stuff.

Bottle, at RBNAG 2009 in Vatlandsvåg, as Barley Zągara Buchemčli. Brewed with honey from orange flowers. Orange coloured beer, low head. Lovely aroma of oranges / orange flowers. Fairly dry flavour for a beer brewed with honey, just a hint of oranges, moderate hops in the finish.

Bottle. Amber with thin lasting bubble ring around the glass. Light watery hop aroma like a poor IPA. Nice body. Belgian touch to a standard Amber with a bit of vanilla turns into a nice refreshing brew.

750 bottle thanks to Pipper (with best before date of September 2009) into snifter. Very cloudy orange, tangerine-ish color with a white head that fades the a fine ring and leaves very little lace. Aroma and flavor are really soft and not the most unique, but both are very inoffensive. Medium/light body with medium carbonation. Overall: not the most impressive or outstanding, but very refreshing and easygoing.

Poured into a pint glass from bottle. 2-3 finger head with a bright off-white head, no lacce. Cloudy honey color with strong alcohol aroma despite the low abv and slight malty undertones. My last beer in Milan this is a very crisp, slightly carbonated, semi-fruity citrus taste with very mild palate. A very drinkable beer from Sardegna but not the most interesting and am confused that they are sold only in 75cL. Also confused by the high 3’s this is definitely an average beer that would be on tap at an average bar in the states.

Average of 2 separate tastings, with some different results. Small, off-white head, over slightly hazy orange-amberish beer. One sample flowery nose, garden herbs, fast gone, leaving a slight spicy aroma; other one cookies, sweet dessert baking and impression of Maillard. Sample 1 soft sweetish-bitterish, with a fruity sourish lining; bitterish mainly due to (noble) hops; faintly spicy. Both toasted, soft-caramelly malts, no honey detectable. Palate drops fast away, certainly in sample 2; sample 1 more spritzy, mineral water quality. Light to medium bodied. Honeysweetness in both cases held in check, but the beer is rather dull, as there’s very little "in lieu".
