Commercial Description:
Well-balanced and refreshing. Copper coloured, it is crisp with a toasty note. In Germany, they call it Roggenbier. Now, about the name. Hint: Look out the front window.

i have a place in my heart for rye in beer and this doesn’t disappoint. nice spicy rye aroma coupled with delicate floral and citrusy hops. both aromas carry over into the delightfully smooth beverage. great mouthfeel, coats everything with that great rye. excellent aftertaste and lingering spice finish. would had one or ten more but i was on a break from a convention across the street.

One of my favorite beers after the Russian Imperial and Oatmeal Stouts. Has a good color, nice aroma and wonderful flavor. When it comes back in the fall I will be carry home a jug of this every night like I do with the Russian Imperial.

(Bottle, thanks moejuck) Pours hazy orange. Hoppy aroma with tones of tangerines, roses and malty/ grainy notes of toasty caramel and rye. Undertones of pine, apricot and grapefruit with a floral hint. Hoppy flavour as well with tones of grapefruit and some flowers. Some toasty caramell undertones. Light sweet and medium bitter. Some grapefruit bitterness lingers along with a touch of caramel and rye. Medium body.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours hazy amber with a small white head with good retention. The aroma has citrus, pineapple and something that reminds me of a locker room, yet I’m not repulsed by it. Medium body with semi-soft carbonation. The taste has the dryness of the rye, a nice form of harshness and dry grapefruits. The finish continues even drier with pine needles and pine cones. A very enjoyable IPA that I wish I could get on more than just a stopping place on a long road trip.

12 oz, hand bottled. Cloudy apricot topped with a bit of white froth. Lovely nose of cantaloupe and spruce. Light carb, somewhat watery. Orange and honeydew with increasing pith drying. Rye in the end.
