shigadeyo (2210), Harrison, Ohio, USA Jul 1, 2009 5/20/2009: Bitter Dan Extreme IPA has an inviting citrusy/orange hopped aroma with some lightly toasted toffee malt. This beer has BIG HOPS! The flavor is floral and sugary with a good level of bitterness and chewy toffee malt. It has a good body that is medium to medium-full in weight and goes down smooth. This is a tasty IPA! Double IPA though? No, not quite...
Draught (pint) at Barley’s Smokehouse in Columbus, Ohio. Rating #20 for this beer.

JoeMcPhee (4893), Jackson Heights, New York, USA Jun 7, 2009 Growler at PilsnerPeter’s Ratebeer Spring Gathering. Deep golden beer. Lightly hazy appearance. The aroma is quite hoppy. Soft resinous character, fruity grapefruit and rich earthy bitterness. Lots of chewy pine resin behind a soft sweet maltiness. Not cloying at all. Rich and bright with a bit of lingering fruity/piny hop bitterness. Really tasty. LilBeerDoctor (1480), East Setauket, New York, USA Jun 4, 2009 Growler at PPRBSG09. Pours a cloudy pale orange with a white head. Aroma of citrus, tropical fruits, and piney hops. Very inviting! Flavor of citrus, pale malts, and a bitter finish. Nice malt backbone. Some harshness in the palate, but this subsides a little as the beer warms. Pretty solid.
