bluemeow76 (693), Lewis Center, Ohio, USA Oct 24, 2002 A good hearty brown ale. A good rich flavor - nothing extraordinary for a brown ale - but another great Barley’s beer anyway! Dogbrick (2805), Columbus, Ohio, USA Sep 29, 2002 This beer isn’t really breaking any ground in the Brown Ale family, but it is another solid offering from Barley’s. Maybe the fact that I had one on the way home from the OSU vs. Indiana football game caused me to give it a more favorable score than it deserves...Nah, but I found it to be rather enjoyable. Dark brown color with a thin beige head. Sweet malt and brown sugar flavor. Maybe a new tradition after OSU victories? sarie99 (49), San Francisco, USA Aug 17, 2002 Ruby in color. Good malty aroma and flavor. I enjoyed it. stephen (308), California, USA Jul 31, 2002 Pretty much a mild. Flavor is dominated by malt. Dry finish. A great session beer. Gunshy (479), Ohio, USA Jul 28, 2002 This beer is a new one for Scott Francis and was brewed the day John Entwhistle died. It poured a dark brown amber color and formed a small off white head which left a little lace. It had an aroma of malt and caramel. The flavor was also of malt and caramel. It had a medium body finish that was slightly dry. A good addition to the Barley’s family!
