Pours your typical dark amber with a nice frothy head. Smell is wonderful centennial hops and in abundance. Taste is bitering, astringent hops. The type of astringency that I sometimes refer to as "soapy". This is quite crisp and good. A good medium mouthfeel due to the malty backbone to support these hops. Not cloying or tiresome. Me and a friend finished the growler without any problems or complaints. Good beer, looking forward to trying more. DrHomolka (728), Columbus, Ohio, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 3, 2007 Draft. Pours standard golden color with a small white head with good retention. Aroma is subtle, flowery hops. Nice but not the same as the aroma I’ve come to associate with centennial hops. Taste is smooth, drinkable, bitter. Hop taste is not much there besides the ever present bitterness. While I always enjoy a super fresh IPA, this beer is pretty standard in the style, though well-made. I wouldn’t mind drinking this often though not much to get excited about. kp (8500), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

hazy yellow, sweet grapefruit aroma, huge peppery hop flavor, lots of lingering bitterness, only a hint of sweetness that is overrun by the hops, the sweetness finally grows enough to add another dinension

Pours amber with an off white head. Nice citrus hop aroma. Initial flavor of midly sweet American pale malts, which are nice subtle backdrop to the bold grapefruit bitterness. Nice dry hop, grassy finish. A solid effort that is worth seeking. Thanks to whoever shared this. JB175 (1664), Bucks County, Pennsylvania, USA

Nice copper-gold color. Aroma was quite sweet with honey, lemon, and grapefruit. Taste was quite sweet with just enough floral and grapefruit hops, balanced well against some sugary-bready malts. Good IPA. jason (1623), Easton, Pennsylvania, USA
