Jun 5, 2007 Thanks to hopdog for sharing this growler. Pours a hazy golden amber with a smaller off white head. Aroma of pine, mandarin orange, sweet caramel malt, slight earthiness. Flavors of sweet malts, various citrus, earthy, some light pine. Sweetness overpowers the bitterness...although there is still some there.

Jun 1, 2007 Growler acquired in trade with OhioDad (thanks!). Poured a medium and cloudy amber color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of citrus, lightly eathy and sugary. Tastes of juicy oranges, bitter grapefruit, and lightly floral. Has a nice lightly sweet to medium bitter balance. I might have to kill this growler by myself tonight!

Apr 23, 2007 Had this on tap at the ale house a while back. Pretty solid IPA considering centennial is one of my favorite hops. Real easy to drink with a nice light bitterness to it.

Apr 7, 2007 On tap @ the Ale House: Hazy copper in color with a medium off white head. Aroma, pale malts, some grapefruit, sweet notes, and some other citrus notes. Flavor, citrus, a hint of pine, some caramel malts, a slight bitterness. Solid beer.

Jan 28, 2007 Firkin. Pours a clear golden amber color, with minimal soapy white head. Aroma is malt, floral hops. Flavor is caramel, some citrus, soap. Palate is medium-light, slightly watery for my liking, mildly carbonated, sort of metallic bitter aftertaste. Not bad, but not that firkin great either.

Nov 14, 2006 Sampled from tap on 11/08/2006 at Barleys Smokehouse (Ale House #2)...
Slightly hazy, gold color. White crown with spider-like lacing. Aroma is an nice orang, banana, pineapple combination. The flavor is much like the aroma with the addition of lots of hops. Finish is bitter, but quite enjoyable. This was a solid IPA that has quite a hop kick to it! Probably one of the first IPAs I’ve had with nuances of banana in the aroma and flavor!

Jul 6, 2006 What a great beer. Barley’s continues to wow me with their products. The Centennial IPA is full of malty flavor, with a great hop finish. It reminds me of Ruination IPA--and it is really almost that good. The hop aroma is a wonderful citrus and floral blend. One of the best IPA’s I’ve had to date."

Feb 5, 2006 Growler at KP’s Cellar. Pours light orange with a big white head. Lots of dry hops (Simco, Amarillo?) in aroma. Bitterness all the way through, especially on back end. Dominated by grapefruit hops in bitterness. Good amount of caramel malt to balance out the hops. Very nice IPA.
