Commercial Description:
This copper-colored ale is an extra-big beer! More malt. More hops. IPA was originally brewed big for the trip from Britain to India. First brewed here to celebrate our 100th brew, we now brew this one when we thirst for a big, big beer!

What a great beer. Barley’s continues to wow me with their products. The Centennial IPA is full of malty flavor, with a great hop finish. It reminds me of Ruination IPA--and it is really almost that good. The hop aroma is a wonderful citrus and floral blend. One of the best IPA’s I’ve had to date."

Nice copper-gold color. Aroma was quite sweet with honey, lemon, and grapefruit. Taste was quite sweet with just enough floral and grapefruit hops, balanced well against some sugary-bready malts. Good IPA.

Draft@Barleys Pours a cloudy copper with a fizzy white head. The head left rapidly. Has mild hoppy aroma of citrus and spruce. The flavor was subtle and good, hops and spices are very good. Well balanced. Good carbination and mouthfeel. Has a medium body. Very clean and lightly crisp. Has a good finish with a nice aftertaste.

Had one of these on tap at the brewpub. Clean nose of citrus, pine and resinous hops. Anise and figs also present. Pours a clear copper. The average white frothy head is mostly lasting with fair lacing. The flavor starts bitter with a moderate to heavy citrus middle and a strong hoppy finish. The Medium lively body is dry and finishes very astringent. My favorite sample of the day.

Growler at KP’s Cellar. Pours light orange with a big white head. Lots of dry hops (Simco, Amarillo?) in aroma. Bitterness all the way through, especially on back end. Dominated by grapefruit hops in bitterness. Good amount of caramel malt to balance out the hops. Very nice IPA.

On cask:
Poured a cloudy, golden colored body with a creamy, cask-conditioned white head. Some lacing.
Hop aroma wasn't as pronounced as I would have expected. This was the one 4x dry-hopped for the RAF. Nice citrusy aroma balanced by a sweet malt character.
The dry-hop hops really jump out in the flavor. Lots of bitter floral and citrus. Malt is somewhat hidden by the high IBU (60-70???) but it's there. Slight yeastiness and sweetness maybe from the cask being disturbed? Strong ABV that's not tasted but it's there!
Very rich and full on the tongue and perfectly conditioned from the cask. The slight yeastiness worked in the taste.

Growler @ Kp’s Cellar. Mostly clear light amber with a medium off-white head. Big citrus and orange hop aroma. Light earthiness. Maybe a little butterscotch underneath. Flavor has a citrus start that goes to a big citrus oil. Like if you squeezed the skins of lemons and grapefruits. Finish has a big bitterness. Long finish. Very nice.
