Poured hazy dark amber with an average frothy off-white head that lasted. Heavy hoppy citrus aroma. Medium body with a slick texture. Full hoppy citrus flavor with a solid hoppy bitter finish that lasted. Good drinkable brew. trep (1), USA does not count | 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Feb 23, 2006 Served in a snifter and poured from the tower at Alehouse #1.
This beer reminded me alot of DFH 90 min IPA. Look great in the glass, a two finger head that’s bursting with hops. Very smooth on the palate and quite drinkable for an Imperial IPA. Hands down, a very solid IIPA. OhioDad (2491), Hilliard, Ohio, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 10, 2006 On tap at alehouse #1 - Pours amber but cloudy with a short offwhite head. Aromas of straight up c-hops.. citrus, pine, over light caramel malts. One sip though tells you that this brew has some backbone behind those hops.. Nice smooth balance and some very sweet caramel pokes it’s way through the hops to lend a sweet smooth finish. Nice brew... sliffy (2012), Columbus, Ohio, USA

I don’t know how well this would do bottled and sitting on a store shelf for a while, but straight from the tap, and especially the cask conditioned version I had tonight was great. Gold/orange smal head, nice floral/citrus hop aroma with a big hop taste to boot. Really enjoyable. edden (927), cow- lumbus, Ohio, USA

XL-hop taste, I definitely taste the Cascade and Centennial hops. Very fresh with a bitter finish. Terminus (1955), Las Cruces, New Mexico, USA

Big citrus, pine, pineapple, graprfruit flavors with a nice sweet malt base. This is a quality IIPA! Definately leans towards the bitter/piney side than the citrus. Medium body. Veyr dry finish-probably from the chinooks. Thanks to Dogbrick for letting me sample this one! pobenohne (504), Northern Liberties, Pennsylvania, USA
