Commercial Description:
As the most passionate of you know, there is a serious worldwide hop shortage. A major warehouse fire and several climatic catastrophies have created the perfect storm that means a dearth of hops. We aren't sitting still, though. Some of your favorite ales may not be brewed as often as they have in the past, but we endevour to come up with new treasures, using whatever we can get our hands on. Our first effort is an IPA. We call it Hop Envy because we think you'll like this offering so much, those breweries without our hops might get a little envious. Hop shortage? There's no shortage of hops here!

Draft at Alehouse #1. Poured hazy copper with an average frothy white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate to heavy sour citrus hoppy aroma. Medium body with a slick texture. moderate to heavy bittersweet flavor with a medium smooth bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. A standout beer.

Had on Firkin at the Alehouse. Murky golden orange color. Smell was sweet and citrusy. Taste was definitely hoppy, which I dont normally care for, but it was also sweet, malty, and fruity, which made the hops tolerable. Slight bitter finish. Really, more enjoyable than I expected. This is not a favorite style of mine.

Milky apricot body with a creamy white head. Fresh grapefruit hop aroma. Flavor is also fresh and hoppy – citrus, fir tree. Slightly bitter finish.

Draft at the Alehouse. Pours very cloudy pale yellow/orange color with a bright white head. Looks like a wheat beer. The aroma on this is spectacular but a little subdued. It’s delicious but could use just a tad more strength. Citrusy hops, mostly of the peach variety shine through with a decent malt background. Taste is hoppy, significantly bitter, with a tingly mouthfeel. The citrus fruitiness makes its way to the taste as well. Nice and juicy. A fine IPA.

Appearance: Pours a hazy, pale orange body topped with a thin, white ring of bubbles. Smell: Aromatic hop scent of citric-smelling citrus and pine needles. Taste: Scant pale maltiness quickly turns to hops with flavors of grapefruit rinds and resinous pine along with a resounding bitterness. Dry finish with a long, lingering bitterness. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation. Drinkability: A solid IPA with a sharp, snappy hop bitterness.

Hazy orange yellow color with a light head. The aroma is lovely. Lots of fruity hops (orange and tangerine are dominant with maybe a touch of grapefruit.) with a sweet undertone. The taste does not disappoint. Grapefruit hops with hints of orange. The malt backbone is not quite enough for me but it is there and does give you a nice pallet on which to play with the hops. Towards the finish you switch from fruit to a strong pine presence that lingers and really dries out your pallet. Full body with a nice dry finish. Very good, very hoppy!

opaque light burnt orange, wispy white head, streaks of patterned lace, huge sweet citrus hop aroma with the perfect sugary grapefruit character, creamy body, lots of citrus flavor, touch of tangerine sweetness, light bitterness keeps the balance but allows the hop flavor be the star of the show,

Growler: Pours a hazy dark golden with a well-lacing froth of white head. Aroma of big, fresh grapefruity citrusy and grassy hops and some pale malt. Body starts semi-sweet with a lot of crisp grassy grapefruity bittering and flavor hops toward a thinner bittersweet finish. A pretty nice IPA.
