Darkover (1201), Columbus, Ohio, USA Apr 27, 2007 Cloudy orange color with a small beige head. Mild aroma of grapefruit hops. Flavor is very hoppy and also grapefruit. Finish is dry and bitter. Very good. ultraspank (856), Dublin, Ohio, USA May 9, 2007 Had this on tap at the Smokehouse. Fresh nose of hops spice & light resin, wheat & grass, flowers as the brew warms; and I swear some honeydew is included. Different, I like it. The brew is sparkling hazy hondy amber with melon highlights. The off-white creamy head is mostly diminishing and leaves behind a light sheet of lace. The front is balanced to bitter, the middle has a slight acidic tang. The toasty finish is floral with a respectable amount of IBU’s. The medium body is dry & soft, the finish is very astringent. Definitely my favorite american wheat to date. bgburdman9 (722), Columbus, Ohio, USA May 18, 2007 Poured a cloudy brownish color with a little orangish hue. Aroma was pretty hoppy with not much malt coming through. This really seemed like an IPA and not a wheat at all. Reminded me of gumballhead in that the malt and wheat profile was not all that noticable. I loved the amarillo with this though. A great beer from barleys. sliffy (1951), Columbus, Ohio, USA May 30, 2007 On tap at the Smokehouse: Poured a hazy copper color with a white head. Aroma, pale malts, citrus, some bready notes. Flavor, light wheats, some pale malts, citrus and herbal hops on the finish. Nice bitterness. Very nice stuff. spector (906), Lancaster, Ohio, USA May 20, 2007 Got some citrus hops in the aroma.Pours a hazy light copper with a medium off white head.A good amount of bitter hops stand out in the flavor.Medium mouthfeel with a big bitter finish.
