Slightly tart, nicely hopped Stout. Slightly more complex than the Ol’ Ron’s Oatmeal Stout. A very solid beer.

On tap at alehouse #1 - Pours bright amber with a creamy offwhite head. Aroma consists of pleasant floral aroma over grains and caramel malts. Flavor is surprisingly quite hoppy. Lots of floral notes, some orange as well, and a touch of grapefruit. Backed pretty well with caramel malts and some grains as well. Palate is medium bodied and rather creamy. Very drinkable and a nice compliment to the food. I was pleasantly surprised on this one.

On tap @ the Ale House: Pours a deep amber with a light tan head. Aroma, caramel, toffee, and some herbal hops. Flavor, crisp and clean, some caramel, a bit nutty, and some bready notes. Slight herbal hops as well. Solid brew.

Draft, comes a clear, reddish color with a small off-white head that diminished to a ring of bubbles. Sweet malty aroma, smooth sweet flavor with a crisp hop finish. Medium body and light carbonation.

On cask. Murky reddish-brown color with loose white head. Nice hop aroma with caramel malt background. Thin-bodied. Malty/biscuity taste with a mild hop finish. Very drinkable. Pretty good brew for the style.

Dark copper body with a thin head. Nothing notable for the aroma, very plain. Flavor is smooth with a medium hop complex.
