Commercial Description:
An organic strong ale to celebrate our fifteenth anniversary. Strong and malty with enough hops to let you evaluate the ability of hop farmers to do put their best foot forward without pesticides or herbicides. We use malt and hops from around our globe. New Zealand Hallertau hops give this beer a floral, citrusy character similar to American Cascade.

Hazy brown color(almost the color of appe cider) with a small beige head. Aroma of citrus hops and fruit. Flavor of hops, fruit and malts. Pretty good.

On draught at Barley’s during the 15th Anniversary party, served in a snifter. Pours a murky reddish-amber color with a medium thin and foamy off-white head that burns off slowly. Stringy lacing. Pungeant aroma of earthy malt, spices and fruit. Full-bodied with an array of flavors from juicy hops and tart fruit to sweet malt and spices. The finish is resiny hops with a lingering bitterness. Overall this is a worthy effort for an Organic Strong Ale from Barley’s.

Draft at BMRAF 08. Poured hazy dark amber color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy sour citrus & malt aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture. Medium to heavy bittersweet flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. My expectations were met with a standout brew.

On draft and Cask at #1. Hazy amber in the glass with a frothy head.Seems like a bright citrus (orange) aroma with plenty of sweetness. Caramel and hard candy. The fruit, caramel, malt, and hops are extremely well integrated as this warms. It’s very impressive that nothing takes the forefront the warmer it gets. Malty and citrus like orange, notes of grain, caramel, and a touch of pine in the finish. Just flavorful and well integrated. Super drinkable. Body is full, smooth and a bit sticky with a semi-dry finish

On tap at the Alehouse: Pours a hazy copper color with an off white head. Aroma, sweet up front with some toffee and caramel, theres a nice grassy/spicy hop profile behind it. Flavor, a sticky sweetness greets you with notes of caramel, brown sugar and toffee. It yeilds to a nice hoppy bite, with notes of spicy and floral hop flavors. The body is medium to full with a sticky sweetness to it that is cut by a surprising amount of bitterness. Really quite enjoyable, I’m looking forward to more.
