Commercial Description: Pride is ruby red in colour, has a berry fruit aroma and delicious malt and hops flavours. A polished, soft bitter finish builds in the aftertaste.
Pint pulled at the Hart’s Head Hotel in Giggleswick (Yorkshire), took a long time to settle to its clear brown colour body with a large off-white foamy head. A strong malty aroma with caramal and a strong presense of hops as well. I found the palate a little watery, but it did have an interesting sweet malt flavour that became mroe earthy through the swallow. A good bitterness all the way through as well.
A Sim rate (cask up the Junction): Flavour is chocolate and coffee and a little like a porter. Appearance is ruby red with little lacing. Nice and subtle flavour. Slightly bitter finish but nice overall.
