Reddish amber with an off white head. Rough earthy malt aroma. Taste is sweet, nutty and good with a hint of marmalade and a mid bitter finish. Drank this in the rain waiting for the cricket to start. It never did.

Dark red/copper colour. Rich with and orange spicyness redolent of Green & Black’s Mayan Gold Chocolate. Consumed in utterly perfect condition at the Black Dog Inn at Dalton-in-Furness, Cumbria

Cask at troon beer fest 07. Aroma is balanced rich malts with floural and peppery hop. Taste is similar a bit juicey, could do with more to be gerat, but ncie enough.

Cask conditioned at Drayton Beer Fest ’07. Copper colour with faint head. Poor condition to this and it was like drinking a bottle of linctus cough medicine. Stewed dry tea flavour with a sweet finish. Harsh.

Cask (gravity dispense), Reading Beer Festival, April 2006. More copper than red, but undeniably a handsome looking beer. Plenty of rich, full, chewy malt underpinned by a smattering of earthy hops. Could do with a few more. Quite nice but noting out of the ordinary.
