When i bought this i didn’t no a thing about it, neither did the other Houston BA’s, but this is a hidden unknown gem .. . pours with a good little head, with hearty german style lacing .. . light smoked malts tickled the nose, like drained honeey comb and smoked meats .. . amazingly smooth, and even abit refreshing .. . i like just the light touch of smoke, a very well amde beer in the bamburg style .. . awesome!

I’m sick of following my dreams. I’m just going to ask them where they’re going and hook up with them later.

Thanks to Travisd13 for this fine beverage. 22oz bottle. Pours a cloudy dark yellow color with a fizzy white head that fades pretty quick. Smells smokey. Strong but not overpowering. That’s about all you get for the nose though, smoke. Tastes Smokey right up front and then malty and somewhat sweet through the middle and then stiff and smokey on the finish. Almost like smoked meat except no meat. Goes well with some kind! Thin body, crisp and active carbonation.

Light amber with medium head. Aroma is smoke that warms you up for the smokey bacon taste that is the obvious focus here. It doesn’t overwhelm and remains quite smooth and drinkable. A bit sweet in the finish. Not as fully smokey as the classics, but more drinkable for the average person.

Pours light golden amber with a tall off-whit head. Rich wet smoked aroma with a earthy cigar kinda spiciness to it. Flavor is soft with a dry palate that allows the smoked malts to be the focus. Very well rounded smoked beer.

Thanks to aspidites for sharing this one with me. The beer really delivers for those that love smoke beers. If you’re not a fan of the smoke, this this probably won’t be something you’d enjoy. The aroma is campfire smoke. Flavors are more smoke, bacon, a bit of grassy hops detected with a suprising twangy finish. Lots of smoke in this one and it was quite easy to drink, although an admitted smoked beer lover I could only drink one of these at a time.

Beer tasted at mcbackus tasting. Pours gold with copper core and thin off white head. The aroma is tasty rauch malts that don’t go over board with bits of malt in the background. The taste is very much the same with up front and to the finish rauch malts. Mild maltiness rolls around in the background along with hints of caramel. Pretty straight forward rauch offering.

Pours golden amber with a thin white head. Aroma of smoked meat and bacon with a little yeasty spice. The flavor has notes of smoked meats, not overly aggressive, but just enough. Moderate sweet caramel malt follows the smoke, as does a light yeasty, clovey spice. Very drinkable. Very well done.

Bottle. Good meaty smoke with sweet fruit notes. Orange color with a nice head. Mild smoke flavor, some teriyaki, overall really well balanced. A touch thin but pretty good smoothness.
