Baron Roggen

Very cloudy yellow beer with a thin white head. Aroma is of banana, clove, rye spiciness on the finish along with some wheaty dryness. Yeasty, musty flavour with some notable bubble gum character. Would have liked it better if the rye character was bumped up a bit, but still a solid, unique brew.

On draught @ the Latona

Ultra-sedimented dark tan. Sweaty, phenolic, dusty aroma with a hint of banana. Yeastily dryish, woody character. Not so technical by German standards but has a rusticity that while not entirely successful does show promise should they choose to pursue that route.
