Very pleasant aroma of smoked meat and sweet malt. The flavor is quite similar to the aroma with smoked meat and malt. About my only complaint here, and it is minor, is that this is perhaps a bit too light-bodied to carry such strong flavors. Otherwise, I thought this beer was quite good. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 27, 2008 Pours deep amber with garnet edges and mocha head. Great looking brew. The aroma is full rauch smokiness with hints of sweet and dark malts in the background. The taste has pleasant even-ness to it between the smoky alderwood like goodness, caramel maltiness and mild roasty malts. It ends with mild drying malt astringency. luttonm (307), Belgrade, Serbia
