Commercial Description:
The Baron Schwarzbier is a classic German black beer.  The color is black with tinges of ruby and brown.  The flavor is full and crisp.  The Schwarzbier starts with a slight roast flavor upfront followed by a faint chocolate body with a very crisp clean lagered finish.  A very full yet drinkable lager.

On tap at Palace Kitchen in Seattle, WA - Pours very dark/black wthout much head. Aroma of cola/caramel. The taste itself is unremarkable and leaves a lot to be desired given the nice aroma.

Black with a viscous brown head. Yeasty, dry, black malt aroma. Medium body. Creamy smooth dark malt flavors are mildly sweet with a taste of earthy molasses. Very little if any bitterness in the finish. Glug glug burp burp best describes this beers drinkability.

Bomber from Sondra. Blackish color with ruby translucence. Beige head that left quickly. Aromas of dark roasted malt and perhaps coffee and chocolate notes. Near medium body with light, fizzy carbonation. Flavor is lightly sour dark roast malt. Finish is rather balanced. Fairly refreshing.

Dark bronwy red beer with decent head. Aroma is toasty and malty with a touch of caramel. Beer is thin roasty with a touch of choclate and smoke at the finish. Good easy drinker.

draft @ brewery - clear and dark brown with foamy cream head and minor lacing; roasty and malty aromas with a slight hint of smoke; grainy with a smooth, chewy body; slight smoke in the flavors too with some chocolate and roasted malts; nice texture and overall a very pleasant brew

Pretty unremarkable. Deep brown pour, light roast aroma with some cocoa/coffee tones to it. Taste is much the same, there’s just no single thing that jumps out. It’s not bad, and is a fine enough beer.

GABBF 08 - This was just alright, not something I want to go searching after again. Kind of a mild malty aroma, with a little tiny bit of smoke, soda head fades away quickly. Bittersweet and bready, with some caramel maltiness, and a slight bit of roast. Disappointing for the style.

On tap, was a real solid beer with good roasty flavor some sweetness and bitterness to linger on and enjoy. Basically a pretty decent drink with not too much going on in any direction, but a nice package backed up by how fast I saw it disappear before me.
