Dark bronwy red beer with decent head. Aroma is toasty and malty with a touch of caramel. Beer is thin roasty with a touch of choclate and smoke at the finish. Good easy drinker.

Dec 7, 2009 Bomber served in an English pint. Dark brown-black in color with a short gray-tan head. Roasty, burnt coffee aroma. Light body, mild creaminess. Dry, slightly bitter, roasted finish. Clean and straightforward sessionable lager.

Nov 8, 2009 Picked up a single 22-oz bottle via Liquid Solutions in Oregon. Pours a deep brown colored brew with thin off-white rim. Aroma is dark roasted caramel malt, some chocolate bread dough and a hint of coffee. Taste is somewhat complex. Medium bodied with a touch of soda-like flavor with roasted dark malt, some floral hops and a hint of smoked wood. Finish is semi-dry, some tart fruit with chocolate and broad dough aftertaste.

Jun 6, 2009 22 oz bottle. Deep roasted barley aroma with a bit of smoke and chocolate/caramel. Clear dark brown bordering on black with a very small tan head. Super smooth mouth feel and a light body that defies the appearance, average carbonation. This is a great example of a "German Black Beer" fresh from the Pacific Northwest.

May 3, 2009 Bottle. Pours a dark brown almost black color with a small off-white head. Has a roasted malty chocolate and caramel aroma. Roasted malty caramel flavor. Has a roasted malty caramel finish with some hints of chocolate in the aftertaste.

Apr 1, 2009 Bomber. Pours a dark, mahogany color that shines a translucent crimson color in the light. A minimal, fizzy, light khaki head disappears quickly, leaving zero lacing and a glassy surface. The aroma shows stale black patent malts, cereal grains, hints of cardboard, and sourdough bread. Not good, and totally unnatural. The flavor is even worse, sour yeast overpowering the dark malts, with more stale cereals grains lending a wet cardboard component. Thin, astringent, and under carbonated, the palate is just as much a disappointment as the rest of this beer. Pretty much a drainpour.

Dec 6, 2008 Bottle... Poured deep, deep ruby, almost black, with a beige head. Aroma of zesty spices like nutmeg or mild cinnamon and a musty malt presence. Light palate with a subtle sweetness from maybe cocoa, and a mild bitterness maybe from earthy hops before being well rounded with malt notes.

Nov 17, 2008 Tap @ Green Dragon. Pours black with a tan ring. Nose is smokey and full of coffee. Taste is full of coffee and malt and its pretty nice.

Aug 21, 2008 Smoky chocolate nose. Blackish brown, with medium head. Chocolate smoke sweetness, with mild hop bitterness. Fizzy, light to medium body, semi-clean finish. This seemed like a "Porter Light", interesting and refreshing dark beer.
