| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Oct 30, 2009 12oz bottle. Poured a clear golden color with small white head that dissipated quickly. Has a very mild malt aroma. The taste is a little more flavorful than the aroma suggests, with some malt and citrusy hops in the finsih. An average pale ale that doesn’t really stand out. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 12, 2009 Surprised at the poor reception this beer has gotten on RB. I tried it recently on tap at The Australian hotel and thought it was quite nice though this rating is based on the bottled version which wasn’t quite as good. It is a really pale pale but crystal clear and holds a very nice head. Lots of hops on the nose without straying into the AmPale world. Really light flavours, and perhaps a bit watery. Slightly bitter finish. Easy drinking pale ale, perhaps a bit forgettable. I’d have another. As mentioned, better on tap. jonno (566), Brisbane, Australia

Drain pour (ie gave it to my Dad). This is a brewery that has not impressed me in the slightest. drowland (1401), Tallahassee, Florida, USA

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jul 13, 2009 Golden pour, nice head but little persistence.
Aroma is delicate, some passionfruit and lemon from the nelson sauvin, with a fair bit of cereal malt. Definately lacking, was expecting more from the description of hops on the label.
Flavours are similarly boring, a hint of lemon and some sweet hops mixes with slightly metallic malt.
Too much carbonation. dkoonce (884), People’s Republic of Athens, Ohio, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jul 6, 2009 Amber, with a modest cream head. Nice. mild hop aroma with a bit of raw grain. Malty, and a bit sour. Some hop notes. nate2g (1079), Brisbane, Australia
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Jun 20, 2009 Draught. Pours golden with a thin head. The aroma is grain, light citrus notes and lemon...uninspiring. Pretty much the same flavour with even more lemon in the taste. Light bitterness in the finish. floydian1 (279), FNQ, Australia
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Mar 28, 2009 Bottle into wine glass. A clear golden ale with a loose transient white head. Nose of fruity malts with a hint of citrus. Flavour is quite sweet and malty with a soft floral hop bitterness to the finish. Nothing standout. Little Creatures Pale Ale remains the standard for this style Down Under IMHO.
