Pours a dark ruby brown in color. Almost purple like the bottle. Smell is a faint belgian yeast and candy sugar, but mostly malt. It wants to be a dubbel, but seems to be a bit lacking. Taste is decent, but nothing to write home about. Would like to revisit this on tap. It’s easy to support a local brewery when you can get a bomber of 8.25% for $3.49 !

Pours a dark amber with white head. Aroma has a fruity malt flavoring. Taste is medium bodied and has a heavy malt flavor characteristic of this brewery. Not bad.

22 oz. bottle from Dansting. Pour is brown ruby with a 1/4 inch off white head, despite a pretty aggressive pour. Aroma of sweet fruit (dried cranberry?), some sourness and a bit of musty earthiness. Taste of sour, funky, cherry / strawberry / kiwi fruitiness. Not really what I was expecting, but it did have some appeal to it. The finish had a bit of metallic that I found in all of the Barrel House beers I had. Overall, weird, but not terrible. Thanks for dragging this one across the country Dan!

Bottle. Pours a clear purplish-brown color with a medium off-white head. Sweet caramel and malt aroma, similar to a brown ale. Mouthfeel is nice and smooth. Flavor is sour. Almost like a Flemish sour, which is odd. Hints of strawberry, caramel, and a malty finish. I’m not sure this bottle tasted how it should. If so, then it’s not a very good beer.

muddy brown, frothy beige head, funky musty aroma with a hint of dark fruit, fruity mat flavor that kicks in with some tart cherry and then turns sweet, the flavor could stand up but the funky sour milk aroma kills it

22 oz bomber. Pours a hazy reddish brown amber with a creamy thick beige head. Aroma of raspberries, some chocolate and berry pie filling. Taste is tart raspberry cherry flavor with hints of chocolate and caramel. Interesting concoction here.

Bottle. Tart cherry, chocolate and molasses aroma. Dark brown with small head. Very tart/astringent cherry malt and chocolate flavor. Not bad but a bit on the rough side.

On tap @ Brew Kettle: Dark brown pour with an off white head. Aroma, very fruity, and spicy, with some brown sugar and caramel as well. Flavor, spices and fruits, some yeasty notes, and some chocolate.
