22 oz bottle that I barely saved my rating from (washed it). Pours malty-chestnut color with a frothy head. The aroma has roasted malt, dark dried fruit, Belgian funk, fruit cake and alcohol. Flavor is lightly sweet with malt a caramel. I note it is interesting but that is the last of the flavor notes I can read. I recall some spice but that’s all I can recall. In retrospect, this was drinkable but nothing too fancy. Creamy, foamy, medium body. A fair and drinkable brew as I recall.

On tap at the Oak Room in Athens, OH. Dark tan and hazy, with a creamy off-white head. Not much aroma. Very heavy with a sweet and spicy flavor. Not sure what spices are in there, perhaps allspice, mace or nutmeg.

Bottle thanks to zrrbrrt for sharing this one. Pours a dark brown body with thin head. Aroma is of spices and yeast. Taste is cinnamon and spicey with a very sweet aftertaste.

Thanks to zrrbrrt for sharing this bomber... Appears a hazy, dark brown with a light tan head that slowly fades out. Scattered lace is left around the glass. Smell is bready, yeasty, with cocoa, cola, and raisins standing out. The taste is similar to the aromas with a hard liquor harshness jumping out of the glass with a raisin bread backbone. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, slightly cloying, with a raisiny stickiness clinging to the tongue.

Chestnut-brown body with a sudsy, light tan head. Bubblegum and fruit esters in the aroma along with clove notes and apparent well-caramelized sugar. Sweet and sugary caramel flavor with fruity plum aspects and vanilla tones. Some redeeming character, but a little too sweet. Not in league with my preferred Dubbels.

22oz bottle shared courtesy of zrrbrrt. Poured a darker and cloudy amber / brown color with an averaged sized tan head. Aromas of dark fruits, apples, caramel, yeast, and some spices. Tastes follow with some citrus thrown in. On the sweeter side.

Pours a hazy darker brown with some red and a bubbly darker tan head. Aroma of Belgian yeast, corriander, banana, light citrus, some dark fruits. Flavor of the same...the citrus profile was kind of surprising me on this one. The dark fruits are there...although I’m not sure this one is really standing out as a Dubbel to me.Still a solid brew!
