Commercial Description:
Early Cincinnati brewers shipping their beers into Tennessee would generously hop their beer to prevent spoilage during the long, arduous trip over the Cumberland Trail. It’s been said that few barrels ever actually made it into Tennessee, as they were traded away for coonskin caps or simply enjoyed along the way! This classic India Pale Ale is a somewhat fruity brew, with an aggressive hop finish. To the hopheads of the world: we’ve brewed this one for you!

A decent-looking brew: lush, white head over a copper-hued body. Juicy, fruity aroma - ever-so-slightly hoppy and sweet. Pleasat, lightly carbonated mouthfeel. Tart hops that are well-blended with the sweet malts. A very easy beer to drink, as it is very smooth and low in alcohol. Delicate flavor of hops. I would definetly drink this again.

Bomber as an extra in a trade with OhioDad (thanks Scott) - a pretty solid, well-balanced APA - bright, light orange color, with minimal, but lasting head - mellow, dry-hopped aroma, with herbal notes and a bit of a sweet, bread/malt smell - medium-bodied, crisp, refreshing - light citrus and peach in the flavor, with a mild biscuity quality that compliments the late hop dryness pretty well - great beer for this weather.

Crystal clear medium copper color with medium sized off white head. Aroma has fair amount of herbal hops with bit of light caramel, hint of apricot. Flavor is mildly hoppy, bit of caramel and kilned malts, with a mildly bitter, balanced finish.

Bottle: Copper color with a thin white head. Aroma lots of pale and caramel malts, along with citrusy and earthy hops. Flavor was divine, a light maltiness, to go with a crisp and refreshing earthy hop finish. A low enough abv that I could down this stuff by the gallon. Definitely worth a try.

I was not expecting much from this but this was actually one of the most balanced APA i have ever had. On some of the highly hopped beers it is tough to make out the malt profile but this beer allowed everything to come out and was not overly aggressive. This was a solid beer but a little low on the alcohol just like all of their beers are.

Nice label. Poured with a clear golden body and thin white head. Light Hoppy aroma, light sweetness. Taste was lightly spicy with some herbal notes, medium to light bodied, sweet at the end with a dusty dry and herbal finish.

Bomber bottle and served in pint glass: Poured a nice amber hue with a small frothy head and good lace. The aroma displays piney, citric, and grassy hop vapors. Herbal and grainy malts along with some phenols. The taste is mostly bitters and fruit with a light biscuity background finishing with a slight clove character. The feel is okay for style, nothing aggressive. A solid brew and easy to finish the bottle.
