Commercial Description:
This golden Lager is brewed using a traditional German decoction mash. By decoction mashing, we are able to achieve a full malt profile that is complemented by the addition of spicy German hops. We condition our Dortmunder for a full eight weeks which allows the malt and hop characteristics within the beer to fuse together. All of these steps are evident in our final product: a medium- bodied golden lager showcasing a delicious malt flavor balanced with a Noble hop character. Malts: 2- Row, Munich 10L, Carapils Hops: Cluster, Hallertau, Tettnang

Poured a clear light yellow color with an impressive white head that left some lacing. Mild aroma, but a slight spicy maltiness was present along with some grassiness. Taste had light slightly sweet grain notes and a dry finish with a bit of hops.

Pretty and Dortmunder aren’t usually two words found in the same sentence. This beer has a translucent, deep golden body, a well retained snow-white head and lacing that resembles shampoo stuck to the shower walls after I get crazy singing Darkest Hour in the morning. Oddly, the aroma has soapy characteristics to it. Toasty grains are plentiful and robust. The malt is similar to freshly baked biscuits taken from the oven before they’re ready. Light citrus scents waft about. Flavor is much the same, light hoppiness joining the fold. Peppery esters are found in both the flavor and finish. Finishes boldly toasty and malty, medium dry. Palate is light-medium in body, well rounded and crisp. Slight syrup in the mouthfeel. A pretty well done Dort that is not comparable to the Great Lakes offering, but good in its own right.

Clear amber with a nice offwhite head that leaves some patchy lacing. Aroma is biscuity malt with some floral and fruity notes. Light medium body with aggressive carbonation. Taste is malty sweet with some spicy hop bitterness. Somewhat corn syrupy sweet is becomes a bit cloying. Finishes with a nice spicy hop bitterness. Decent for style.

Poured a clear golden color with a small off-white head. The aroma was of fruity malt and yeasty spice. Light caramel and doughy notes. The flavor was malty with notes of toffee and a hint of fruit. Some sweetness but with a dry finish. Moderately bitter finish. Yeasty spice on the finish.

Bottle courtesy of nolankowal. Pours gold with a creamy white head. Smells of nuts, citrus, spices and some peppery notes. Tastes of nuts and oranges with malt balancing everything out nicely. Mouthfeel is full bodied and peppery with a nice spicy finish.

Pours to a lightly sedimented golden yellow with a pleasantly creamy head. Minty hop and sour grain aroma, with some vinegar at the end that eventually becomes really strong. Sweet malts and grains with a hint of citrus and some unpleasant sourness. Crisp and effervescent; relaxed.

Good looking pour, having a bright golden body with a sustained, creamy white head. The aroma is honeyed bread with a mild lemon grass bitterness. Good rich malty flavor, mildy sweet, with a soft, grassy/herbal bitterness to balance it out. Definitely a sessionable lager.
