How: Bottle 22oz, drank very fresh a few days after purchase
The look: Partly cloudy blonde body topped by a medium white head
In long: Bready pils malts abound. Almost no sweetness flavour. Fruity flavours on the tart side of things with pineapples, lemon and such. I got some boiled eggwhite that somehow my palate gets from certain lager yeast strains. Medium strong acidic and tartness level. This beer is absurdly drinkable. An overall freshness sensation but also a certain “wilderness” that I’m not supposed to get from that type of beer but that was thoroughly enjoyable. That wild character and strong tartness for the style left me wondering if what I was drinking was the intended result or the pleasant outcome of a light bacterial infection. Just like with a Vietnamese prostitute the possible infection just didn’t hinder my enjoyment level.

The aroma picked up soft bready notes with a hint of sourdough as it warmed up.. earthy and grassy accents.. sourness was a little odd, but likely a product of age.. still very nice. The flavor found tacky caramel to complement the bready malts at the core.. sour lemon rind and earthy bitterness rode the edges leaving a very grainy impression on the finish. Medium-bodied with the sourness not working too well on the palate.. got caught up at the back. Decent overall. Capa (975), Yokosuka, Japan

Flavor is along the same lines with the lemon being a little too strong. Medium bodied. Can’t say I’m a fan of this brew. zeke626 (302), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA

Aroma of citrus, malts, and a bit of milk. Flavor of caramel malts, bread, with metallic and lactose tones. It seems as if this bottle had started to go bad. riversideAK (2728), Shoreline, Washington, USA

Aroma of biscuits, lemon, and grass. The flavor is very similar with bread, biscuits, a little fruit, and a lemon grassy finish. Pretty light, somewhat unspectacular, but very clean and crisp. Nice bright orange pour, with a fairly active body, appropriate level of carbonation. The aroma is pleasing and invitingly floral. Strong grain and malts in the flavor, again with fruits and a fair hop presence. Good quaffer even if nothing special. caesar (3034), Bunnik/Utrecht, Netherlands
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 5, 2008 Bottled. Clear orange color, short frothy head. Aroma of hop, quite fruity of grapefruit, bit grainy. Dry crisp taste, bit like mashed grain. Not bad, but bit unbalanced. jerohen (1614), Bussum, Netherlands
