Commercial Description:
This golden Lager is brewed using a traditional German decoction mash. By decoction mashing, we are able to achieve a full malt profile that is complemented by the addition of spicy German hops. We condition our Dortmunder for a full eight weeks which allows the malt and hop characteristics within the beer to fuse together. All of these steps are evident in our final product: a medium- bodied golden lager showcasing a delicious malt flavor balanced with a Noble hop character. Malts: 2- Row, Munich 10L, Carapils Hops: Cluster, Hallertau, Tettnang

bomber from miketd...!muchas gracias! pours a rich yellow gold with a fluffy white head. strange combo of aromas...brown sugar, malt, mineral, lager yeast, citrus and green apple? earthy flavor with lemon, green apple and light peppery yeast. nice acidic crisp finish. aftertaste is a golden delicious apple. average carbonation but fuller bodied than expected....thanks mike

Decent tasting dort. Notable spiciness to it which was a nice surprise. I got the bottom of the bottle which was nice and yeasty.

Bomber purchased at Corral Liquors in Granite City, IL. Pours a clear gold with a frothy white head that diminishes quickly. The nose is a sour yeasty bread dough with the sourness reminding me of fermenting fruit. Light-bodied with soft, tongue-coating carbonation the palate concludes with a clean dry finish. The flavor is bready and yeasty with a peculiar milk chocolate note that reminds me of YooHoo. This is a lager unlike any other that I’ve sampled to date, but it’s just odd enough that I doubt that I’d try it again unless by some off chance I were to find it on tap somewhere.

Yellow, with a foamy white head. Faint aroma, with a touch of grain and toast. Clean and crisp at first, then a sweet note. Peppery finish. At the 2007 Knoxville Brewer’s Jam.

22 ounce bottle served at a KC Crew tastsing
Golden with some white head. Pretty hazy for a lager.
This beer smell exactly like apple cider to me.
It taste a lot like grainy vanilla cream soda.
Medium body. High carbonation. Tart try finish.
I have no need for this beer in my life.

Pours with a glowing golden color, cannot see through it, and a small but firm head. Aroma is strong lagered maltiness (very strong white bread sweetness), some candy, and hints of lemon/floral behind all that. Similar taste, less sweet and there is a stronger lemon/floral finish. A medium but full body with average carbonation. Low bitterness and full of flavor with a creamy mouthfeel. very surprising, I was actually happy to see this was not infected. I like it and the label is cool except for on thing. At the bottom they have two scales on that goes from light to dark, which is fine, but the then they have malty to hoppy. Now that does not make sense, those are not opposites but otherwise I really like this, a style that is often mailed in. 22oz bottle, Koningshoeven smaller goblet glass.

Bottle: Pours a golden, with near perfect clarity and a stable white head. The nose is full of sweet malts. Somewhat buttery, with a slight German hop presence. Lively carbonation, and has a solid light-medium body with crystal-pale malt apparent. A bit doughy, and mildly sweet, with a grainy cracker-ish character. There’s definitely evident German hops with a slight spiciness. This stuff is pretty robust for 4.5% ABV, and is a nice example of the style.
