Commercial Description:
In the hill country of eastern Ohio lie the geological treasures of Old Man's Cave, Conkels Hollow, and Cantwell Cliffs. Our Hefeweizen is a tribute to the natural wonder of these places; an authentic German Weissbier. This delicious beer is unlike anything you've ever tasted before! Hints of clove, banana, and vanilla are some of the flavors produced by the special strain of yeast we use. Because the beer is unfiltered, it becomes cloudy when chilled, in the traditional German way.

On draft at the Dilly Deli. Pours a hazy gold in color with a very nice two inches of head on the pour. Smell is huge amounts of clove and some underlying banana. Taste is even more of the clove. Almost too much. Very nice mouthfeel and decent flavor, once you get past the clove. Easy drinker.

Pours cloudy orange with a fine, moderate, white head. Aroma is mildly sour with a strong grape-juice quality to me. Moderate mouth feel with a pretty strong sour quality. Bottle may be old, but I find this pretty good.

Bottle. Pours out a very fizzy opaqueish yellow. The aroma was a little wheaty but mostly sour. The taste was sour. Way too sour.

Another infected bottle from these guys... and again it has probably greatly improved the beer. They do really need to clean up their bottling line though. Pours a cloudy honey color. aroma is banana, clove, and a good touch of lemony sour.... lactic acid bugs love this place! Taste is tart and lactic with notes of lemon. Very quenching. finishes dry leaving the mouth watering for more lemony flavor. Somehow this turned into a berliner weiss on accident. I really enjoyed this, mostly cause I love sour beers. This obviously wasnt supposed to taste like this so I knocked down the overall score significantly.

22oz bottle. pours semi hazy golden with white head. mild banana and clove aroma. flavor is really gross, sort of a metal artifical fizzy banana drink. i can’t get past how bad this is. finally i get a barrel house beer thats not infected and i almost wish it was. somehow it reminds me of something terrible somebody once made me rinse my mouth with or injest in some medicinal purpose.

Pours straw/golden with a medium white sudsy head. Metallic, yeasty, banana aroma. Weak body, sparkling. Odd metallic flavor, clove, bubblegum and sweet banana. Like a kristalweizen kind of.
