Aug 19, 2007 Nice aroma of clove and banana, but it pours a clear light gold with a quickly fading head. Seems to be missing the cloudiness that is typical to the style. Much sweeter then most of the hefes I’ve tried. But it hits the clove and banana notes well. Not a bad beer, something I may pick up again, but that’s mainly due to the fact it’s under $4 a bomber, and for that price, it’s very tasty.

Aug 15, 2007 Bottle from Friar Tuck in Savoy, IL. Pours a hazy golden with a retentive white head. Banana- bubble gum aroma. Medium-light bodied with a texture that is slightly watery. Typicaly hefe wheat malt base with some yeasty flavors, but the clove phenols are a bit heavy on this one. Perhaps a tad too hoppy on the finish also. Decent beer, but not really my type of Hefe.

Jul 27, 2007 Bottle... Cloudy yellow ale with a large, foamy, white head and excellent retention. Fruity, phenolic aroma of mango, light clove, mild smoke, orange and peach with a whisper of banana. The flavor is very sweet with notes of orange blossom honey, light spice, bubble gum, tropical fruit, peach, apricot and orange puree. No semblance of balance. Medium-bodied with a 2%-milk mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Watery, bland finish.

Jul 25, 2007 Appearance: Pours a hazy golden body with a thin white head.
Smell: Aroma of Wheat Thins topped with sliced bananas, ground cloves, and lemon zest.
Taste: Sweetish malted wheat flavor along with strong notes of bananas, and cloves. In fact, the clove accent is particularly sharp to me. Ends with a quick, tart finish.
Mouthfeel: Thin-bodied, with light carbonation and a creamy mouthfeel.
Drinkability: Could use some tweaking in the mouthfeel department, both in terms of added body and carbonation.

Jul 24, 2007 Thanks to Shigadeyo for another cool breer. Bomber. Pours a medium slightly hazy golden with a large quickly fading head. Aroma is pretty big spice, coriander, wheat. Flavor has bananna, spice, light malt, clove. Flavor is huge for a rather light 4.6% brew. Very enjoyable. Thanks again Craig.

Jul 18, 2007 Clove and banana aroma with bubble gum hints.Straw yellow color and cloudy with yeast. Moderate off white head with good head retention and low to no lacing. Clove dominates the flavor profile with banana and bubble gum. Low to no hop flavor and bitterness. Slightly astringent finish. Light body thin mouthfeel.

Jul 14, 2007 Pours a cloudy maze with white head. Aroma of what and citrus. Taste is medium-bodied and extremely well balanced for the style. The citrus comes through very well. Probably the best hefeweizen I’ve ever had.
